Maize Flour Premix
The growing centralization of maize milling, its world-wide consumption, and the simplicity of the fortification technology make this vehicle a good choice for nutritional intervention. However, Overall stability of micronutrients in fortified maize flour stored at room temperature is good.
MILK – Nature’s most nearly perfect food. Besides protein and fat, dairy products provide a wide range of micronutrients, such as fat-soluble vitamins and calcium. However, most of these nutrients are lost during High temperature processing, which is why dairy fortification is important. Furthermore, Milk and milk powders are commonly fortifying with vitamins A and D3. Both liquid and powder premixes are available from Hexagon Nutrition.
We provide micronutrient premixes to fortify oils and fats with essential micronutrients that would improve the quality of edible oil thereby making it relevant in addressing micronutrient deficiencies. Similarly, All kinds of edible oils (soybean, palm olein, groundnut, cottonseed, and mustard) can fortifying with Micronutrient Staple Premix.
Fortified Rice Kernels
Hexagon Nutrition is a preferring partner for international fortified rice brands. We produce FRK using warm extrusion technology with sophisticated instruments. Kernels thus produced retain better micronutrient levels and have longer shelf life in varied storage conditions compared to cold extrusion. White coloured Ferric pyrophosphate is using in our FRK PREMIX as an iron source. This does not lead to colour change of rice kernels and hence better accepted. However, Analytical tests have proven micronutrient efficacy even in cooked rice.
